Create default targets for specified staff groups

Use this page to create default targets that automatically appear on staff appraisal forms under their assigned target areas.

Before you start:

Permissions:
Only Admin users (school or trust) can access this page.

Dependencies:
Target Areas must be set up first, because each default target must link to a target area.

You can..

Create new default targets by writing target text and linking it to an existing target area.
Edit or delete existing default targets to keep forms aligned with school priorities.
Apply consistent expectations for all staff assigned to relevant staff groups.

The target that will appear automatically on appraisal forms (e.g., "Complete 5 feedback records").	The target area this default target is linked to. Selected from a dropdown list of existing target areas.	Edit or delete the default target.

Notes

Default targets are grouped under their assigned target areas on the appraisal form.
Deleting a target area will automatically delete any linked default targets, so long as they have not been updated by the appraiser or appraisee. When the admin deletes a default target, any that have already been edited on a form (e.g. someone has added a comment) will remain on that individual form, though they will no longer be marked as default.
