Framing your teaching and learning rubric in a matrix creates a consistent approach that is understood by those giving and receiving feedback.
The matrix helps you to quickly identify trends across your teaching strands either from the perspective of a teacher at individual level or a leader at individual, team, school or trust level.
Understanding the Matrix page
To manage your Feedback Matrix, navigate to Settings > Feedback Management > Matrix
Below is a key with descriptions of all the features available on the Feedback Matrix page.
Area | Feature description |
---|---|
1 | Link to the page to update feedback Habits |
2 | This column is a list of your Habits in the order you have specified |
3 | The subsequent columns are your Ratings |
4 | Click on the pencil icon to edit each box |
Editing the Matrix
To edit your Matrix:
- Navigate to the page Settings > Feedback Management > Matrix
- Click on any of the pencil icons (Area 4 in the table above) to edit a section of your Matrix.
- Add or amend your preferred text using the rich text editing function.
- Click on the 'Cancel' button to return to the Settings > Feedback Management > Matrix page without making any changes.
- Click on the 'Save Changes' button to save any changes you have made. Please note that a yellow warning icon will now appear in each box you have edited. Your changes to the Matrix HAVE NOT been saved at this point. Follow the next step below to complete the task.
- Click on the 'Save' button to save any changes you have made.
