Getting started with your new ProgressTeaching platform

Some tasks that need to be completed to begin using the platform

Your new platform is ready

We are pleased to inform you that your ProgressTeaching platform has been created and linked to your Management Information System (MIS). We would ask that you now kindly complete the following steps, which are required for the platform configuration:

First steps: user accounts and trust mappings

Please review the user accounts that have been created in the platform, checking that email addresses are accurate. Where email addresses are inaccurate, please update them using the instructions in the ‘User Management’ link below.

  • Assign appropriate roles; Admin, School Leader, Staff.
  • Make any users that should not have access to the platform inactive.
  • Manually create additional users that do not exist in your school MIS.

Here is a Knowledge Base article to support with the completion of the above steps: User Management

Providing access to the platform

Once these tasks have been completed and you wish your staff to log into the platform, share the following with them:

Please be aware that as soon as you share the login link with staff, they will be able to access the platform, so permissions must be correctly assigned before you share the link.

Next steps: allocating permissions

Now that you have completed the steps to check users in the platform and assign roles, you are ready to configure the next part of your feedback platform:

  • Reviewing teacher types: Teacher Types
  • Adding ‘Tags’: Tags
  • Defining feedback users and their access to year groups and subjects: Feedback Users
  • Linking teachers to types to drive the analysis of feedback: Teachers
  • Defining the configuration of any direct feedback users: Direct Feedback

Good luck with completing this process and please do get in touch with us if any questions arise.
